For the uninitiated, the oyster can be a daunting meal—a bivalve with the flavor of the sea. To the knowledgeable, location matters. At Epic Oyster, local oysters sit on the menu right beside those plucked from the waters of Canada, Washington, and Connecticut (to name a few) and they’re ready to serve both groups with this great selection of oysters. Shucked and on the half shell, ready to be enjoyed, oysters are the specialty at Epic Oyster. Their menu isn’t limited to oysters; plenty of other food graces the Portuguese-inspired menu, along with a great wine list.
The building itself has quite the history. Epic Oyster opened its doors in 2017, but the building began as diner, a classic Tierney car originally in Wareham before relocating to Falmouth. None other than Bob Dylan walked through its door in 1974.
Today it’s the place to get those great oysters on the half shell over a nice glass of wine. Reviewers clearly enjoy supporting this notion as one said on Google, “Amazing selection of oysters, radiant staff joyful ambiance.”
