The decision to have cosmetic or reconstructive surgery is a very personal one. Patients look for the personalized care, skill and expertise needed to make the surgery a success. Dr. Theodore A. Calianos II is recognized as having those qualifications.

Dr. Calianos, affiliated with Falmouth Hospital since August 1998, performs cosmetic surgery, hand surgery, reconstructive plastic surgery, breast reduction, breast reconstruction and skin cancer reconstruction.

His medical school education included a residency and the study of plastic surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, where he studied general surgery, and at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, where he studied hand surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).

Cape Cod Healthcare Plastic Surgery employs a team of board-certified plastic surgeons and skilled professionals with the needed training and experience. All plastic surgery procedures are performed in the hospital, enabling patients to benefit from all the available resources including advanced surgery and recovery suites; anesthesiology administered by physicians and certified nurses; a team of clinical specialists caring for patients every step of the way; private hospital rooms with restful views; and sleeping areas for family when requested.

Complementing the skills of Dr. Calianos, the team performs elective procedures including body contouring (often following significant weight loss or bariatric surgery), tummy tucks, liposuction, facelifts and injections, brow lifts and nose reshaping.

When possible, cosmetic procedures are done using minimally invasive techniques, resulting in smaller incisions, less pain and a faster recovery.
