Maison Villatte

Maison Villatte Boulangerie Patisserie has become Falmouth’s favorite bakery for a reason—owner Boris Villatte, formerly head of the bakery at the Las Vegas Wynn Resort, believes in quality, so everything at the French bakery is perfection. And once inside, you’ll likely find any pastry or baked good your mind could conjure up.

Since opening its Main Street doors almost 10 years ago, the bakery has been packed. And we don’t just mean during the busy season—we mean all year, all the time, around-the-clock packed. People cannot get enough of the gourmet treats, and the shelves do not stay stocked for long.

Using exceptional ingredients to achieve exceptional results, the bakery’s dedicated bakers start preparing for the day shortly after most people have drifted off to sleep. Their hard work is the reason why customers are greeted with the mouthwatering aromas of delicious breads and pastries upon walking in—or even by—the storefront.

Featuring a variety of shapes and flavors of breads, chocolate-almond croissants, fresh and sweet berry, apricot, and pistachio tartes, decadent dark chocolate and pistachio torsades, and blueberry and cream cheese squares—each delectable offering is an edible piece of art.

Maison Villatte offers more than just sweet treats with a savory sandwich menu. The basil, tomato, and mozzarella sandwich sells out fast, as do its ham and cheese croissants. Folks also love the monsieur de croque and the popular fougasse. Be sure to check out its homemade soups, bisques and rich coffees while you’re there, too.

This is a popular bakery, so be sure to bring some patience when you go. The friendly and knowledgeable staff is always ready to serve you a little taste of France.
